Gilbert FFA members Win despite the "Stay Home" Shutdown

GHS FFA members win at the first Maricopa County Fair Virtual Show.  Gabe Neff (9th) exhibited the Champion Southdown lamb and Kira Schiermeyer (12th) exhibited the Reserve Champion Southdown lamb.
Gabe's lamb was bred and born from his own flock.  That is a huge accomplishment. Gabe has also been recognized as one of the top 4 finalists in the STATE FFA Star Greenhand Award. This is an award for first year FFA members who have an  outstanding agriculture project/job outside of school as well their FFA activities.
Kira purchased her animal and raised it starting in August.  Kira worked hard for 4 years to learn the right animals to select, feed and show lambs.  Kira will pursue a degree in Animal Science to become a veterinarian. She will be receiving the State FFA Degree in June. The State degree is the highest level of accomplishment a never can receive from the State FFA

Exhibitors had to video their animal and show it's best traits in a 60 second video last week for the virtual show which included exhibitors from around Maricopa County.
